The launch of the KTM Duke 125 is already making waves in Singapore where it was launched a few days ago. This bike, sadly, would not make it to India, as KTM have plans to introduce the Duke 200 and 350 here in India. Dirt enthusiasts here can keep their fingers crossed for the launch date of KTM Duke 350. Rumours do speculate that KTM Moto3 350 could also be launched with the Duke 350. KTM Moto3 350′s engine would be the same as the Duke 350, but it would have an Enduro engine and would function as a motocross sibling of the KTM Duke 350.
We still have a long way to go as these models would be introduced by 2014 with dealers getting a hold on these bikes by the end of 2013. The bike would be powered by the 350 cc motocross engine and would also feature as a sports bike. This bike definitely would compete with the likes of the Honda CBR250R and Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
The information gathered so far says that the KTM bikes are aiming for Moto3 Championships, MotoGP. Reports also say that the Moto3 Championships held in 2012 is for 250 cc racing bikes. KTM bike Moto3 350 hence would be sold as road bikes.
Bajaj seems to have a lot hopes with the launches of KTM bikes, especially the Duke 350 sports bike. There are quite a lot 250 cc bikes that aim to challenge KTM namely, Mahindra Mojo, Suzuki GW250 and also the Hyosung GR250R, which are to be launched in 2012 too. There is also speculation that the Bajaj Pulsar would come with a 350 cc engine. Duke 200 is to be launched in India and hopefully would be priced at Rs. 1,60,000.
